Well.... Summer semester has come and gone.
As you can see I REALLY struggled keeping up with this here beauty while going to school, working, and being Mommy.

My lesson at church today for the 10 year olds was on the Atonement. So I'm here,
acknowledging my wrong doing,
asking for forgiveness,
and promising to do better!

With that I have SOOOO much to catch up on....
Because this blog here was meant solely for my journaling purposes
{ok ok, and to stalk all you lovely people....}
I DO have to catch up....

So within the next week watch for some posts,
And kick my butt if i don't get going....
We are leaving for Auntie Moo's (Nick's sister Meg) wedding in the beautiful California Thursday.
I have until then to get all caught up...

Ready,
Set,
GO!

And, while your waiting
(because i'll be honest i haven't even started these plethora of posts yet)
help me decide what to do with my hair (color wise) when we're in Cali.
This....

Or This...

And....
If I were brave enough I would cut it like my friend Jan over here did. Super cute right??
Someday....

Anyway.
I'm of to blog, blog, blog away.

Today is Father's Day.
I have MANY MANY incredilbe men in my life that I would be proud to give the title "Dad".
My own dad for instance.
Christopher Lowell Brown.
No, not the singer, although he can entertain you until your gut hurts from laughing too hard.
My dad has always been, and will always be,
my greatest hero.
He is not afraid to stand up for what he believes,
Give 100 % +1 to everything he does,
and assist others in doing so also.
He's super buff, and quite handsome for an old man.
What may be the most important than any of those things though,
is my dad taught me to be my OWN greatest hero.
That I, Alex Judson, am of Divine Nature and all I need to do is seek to BE just that.
That I will forever love him for.
That was my daddy daughter song in fact.
Mariah Carey - Hero.

My Father-in-law is another great "Dad" I have.
Mark Eric Judson.
I know, without a shadow of a doubt, that my husband is the man he is today because of the example Mark showed Nick in being a great Dad.
He loves his wife, children {in-laws too! =D}, and grandchildren more than could ever be put down into words,
and it is plainly visible for all to see.
He's handy with his hands and ALWAYS willing to lend a help when needed.
Often times without being asked.
He has a cute sense of humor that will keep you giggling all night.

And my most favorite Daddy of them all?
Nicholas Eric Judson.
The Mister.
My Honey.
My very very best friend in the entire world.
The father of my babes and unborn children.
He is the most accepting and non judgemental person I've ever met.
He gets along with everyone and anyone,
and loves them all the same.
He is feircely protective of all those close to him.
He makes me laugh like no one else can.
Nixon adores him, and already wants to ALWAYS be with him.
Nick loves the song "Anything Like Me" and laughs that we will be in big trouble if Nixon is anything like him,
but if i'm to be honest I can't imagine anyone better for him to be like.
To our most favorite Daddy of them all:
We sure LOVE you!

To Poppa Brown, Judson, Daddy, Grandpa Wakefield, Swaney, Brown, and all of the other awesome Daddy's out there:

HAPPY FATHERS DAY!

Getting to Know My Readers FRIENDS!

>> Wednesday, June 8, 2011

So I saw this on another Blog the other day.
The Author, mind you, has THOUSANDS {ok maybe HUNDREDS, but still...} of readers.
I thought it was pretty fun though.
You've all seen when someone gets "tagged" and does a little questionaire about themselves.
Well this was kind of the same thing, but with a little twist.
The Author mentioned she wanted to get to know her readers better.
So what she did was answered one of those questionaries,
BUT then asked that they all copy it as a comment and fill their own out.
Now....
I know I don't have many "readers"...
In fact most of you are probably people I went to high school with,
or relatives.
Regardless, I'd still love to get to know my friends.
So here it is.
I'll fill it out then you copy it into the comments and play too!
Then go and get to know all the friends that are SPYING on you {I will most likely be one of them... Just sayin'}....

a. what is your real name, and what is your nickname? my name is alexandra brown judson, and my nicknames are Alex, Al, Allie, Bean.

b. what is your hometown, and what's your favorite thing about it? i was born and raised in Payson, UT. My favorite thing about Payson is my family, and possibly wrestling :)

c. what are three of your favorite blogs? i love so many, but i will share three: Little Miss Momma, Life is Sweet, and Oddee {ha ha ha, i know. embarrassing}

d. what is your favorite movie of all time? I think I like a whole lot of them but if I had to choose one {or a series} it would have to be Back to the Future!!!

e. what is your favorite food? i really, really, really love a good steak...

f. what type of pets do you have? I have to rambunctious {spelling??} labs, Zeus & Cleo.

g. if you had to choose, Peeta Mellark or Edward Cullen? easy, Peeta Mellark. Although if I hadn't seen the Twilight movies and was going just off of the book maybe Edward.... hmmmm.

h. what is your favorite book? Right now as I'm waiting for second summer block to start I'm on a total book craze. I have to say though my favorite of all time still remains Enders Game.

i. What is most memorable about your high school years? I would have to say my senior year when my sister was a sophmore. She is one of my very best friends.

Alright!
Your turn!
Don't be shy!
This'll be fun!

P to the S {dot} - Even if your not a blogger, but still a reader you can play too! I think you just click the annonymous button!

P to the S {dot} S {dot} (or P.P.S. hmmmm which is it??) Don't forget to leave your blog address incase I'm not already spying on you!!! =D

Never Before Heard Of!

>> Monday, June 6, 2011

Alright! Listen up LADIES and GENTS!
Never again will you probably ever see a post like this again.
And this being the reason why:
I, ALEX, AM NOT A GOOD COOK.
No, not in the slightest.
Not yet at least.
In fact, I messed up Bacon the other day.
Yup. Bacon.
I aspire to be though.
Merely for the fact that I want to take care of my husband just as much as he takes care of me.
I also don't want Nixon, and my future Judson babes, to miss out on what Nick and I experienced
growing up.
Good ol' home cookin'.
Sooooo....
Tonight, while Nick was at class, i decided to try something new.
Not something simple.
Not in my books at least.
No. Something complex and YUMMY!
This here is the recipe I chose.
Crazy for a non-cook, RIGHT??
BUT...
I done good guys! I sure did!
It was so yummy and delectable {yes, i'm not much of a writer either....}!
And, although I could not find my camera, I didn't let that stop me from providing PROOF!
So, here it be. My very first GOOD HOMECOOKED MEAL!

The "Inards" of the pie.

 The bottom Crust {NO I DID NOT MAKE IT OUT OF SCRATCH... THAT IS WAYYYY OUT OF MY LEAGE FOR NOW}
The inards in the crust

The Top on!

And Wha La!

Feel free to go ahead and tell me how amazing I am!
At least for tonight that is! ;D

Just Keep Swimming!

>> Thursday, June 2, 2011

Hmmmm....
Maybe it's the eyes?
No. Maybe the nose?
No. It's got to be the chin then. Yes?
No....
Well. I guess I don't see it, BUT I sure did see it the other day!
My son is a fish.
Seriously.
Tuesday we went to seven peaks.
When I got in the water I almost yelped {yelped??} at how cold it was!
I thought for sure there was NO way my son
would be happy about that!
Quite opposite actually!
He kicked and kicked and kicked.
If i'm being honest
{don't want to brag too much about my genius son... ;D}
there was even some arm strokes going on!
{Don't feel bad. Like I said, he is quite genius and far advanced.
Not every baby can be as cool as nixon...}
He's a natural born swimmer!
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha..... Oh boy.
Anyway. Here are some pictures!
Don't judge.
Pregnancy wasn't kind to Nick and I.
We're still working on the extra poundage business....
Regardless, I do have to say..... ISN'T MY HUSBAND SOOOO CUTE?!
Gosh I love that man.
Hey Mr Grump Gills
You know what you gotta do when life gets you down?
Just keep swimming

Just keep swimming
Uncle Nini and Coopy

Just keep swimming swimming swimming
Uncle Nini, Coopy, Xan Man, & Nix

What do we do we swim, swim, swim
OH HO HO How I love to swim

When you WAAAAAANNTTT to swim you want to swim

.:Blessed:.

Always end the name of your child with a vowel, so that when you yell the name will carry.
Bill Cosby

It appears Nick and I missed the memo on that one.
Hmmmmm. Hope we don't regret that someday! =D

 February 20th, 2011
This little guy received a name. And a Blessing.
Both Nixon and I are incredibly grateful "The Daddy" in this house
strives daily to be worthy enough to hold
The Priesthood {somthing the men in Our Church recieve when they are 12 if they seek to be worthy to hold it}.

The Blessing was filled with promised gifts
as long as Nixon seeks to recieve them.

The Name {which was only chosen weeks before his birthday}
was chosen two honour to great men in my life.
"The Daddy" Nicholas Eric &
"The Poppa" Chrisopher.
nixon chistopher
{yep, "Nick's son"!}

Isn't it SOOO hard to just choose a few great people??
How did you choose?

Nixon was lucky enough to share his special day with his Uncle Brock,
{that cute missionary you see over in the side bar}.
Brock was leaving for his mission in Fiji two weeks later.
Needless to say the Brown household was packed.
Of couse, I forgot to take ANY pictures...
Yep, Mom of the year right here!
I did however take some of him later in his blessing outfit,
which we had made by a nurse at the hospital.
It was patterned after a cute onsie outfit I found at GAP that was to die for,
BUT was not white....

Anyway.
Because I know you all would rather see the pictures then hear me ramble on...
Without further adu...
Isn't he so handsome!!

I'm going swimming for the first time at Seven Peaks today.

.:APARTMENT:.

>> Sunday, April 10, 2011

Sadly, it's that time again! Nick and i are looking for new renters for our basement apartment. We're very sad to see our current tenants leave as they've been AMAZING! They recently found out their job situation will be more ideal back home where they are from, which we totally understand. If you, or anyone you know, if looking for an awesome place to rent shoot me a comment!

We're in Springville, which is super nice to be out of the hubbub of the busy single college life, but we're close enough to Provo/Orem that we don't feel like we're out in the boonies and we don't waste a zillion gas traveling back and forth.

We have a SUPER huge backyard {ALMOST AN ACRE} which is super fun for our two playful puppies, and will be just as much fun for our little man when he gets a little bigger. Its still in "rough" shape {a little boys DREAM} but we plan on all our yard "renovations" going in this spring/summer {i.e. grass, graveled parkiung, etc.}.

My cute California husband decided last summer he wanted to play farmer so he bought himself 6 chickens. We have eggs coming out of our ears {almost literally!}, so renters will enjoy free eggs whenever they please! =D

Specs of the apartment include:
*3 bedrooms - 1 master, 1 childs room, 1 extra bedroom {has been used as an office by some of our tenants}

*1 Bathroom

*Recently renovated - August 2009. New carpet, New paint, New windows in some of the bedrooms

*Washer and Dryer PROVIDED!

*Utilities, Cable, AND internets included in the flat rate price! I know right?! Killer deal.

*$750 flat rate a month - due the 5th of each month

*200 Deposit

*PETS {dogs, cats may get eaten by our two puppies. Sorry!} WELCOME with small pet deposit!

*Super fun and awesome landlords/upstairs neighbors.

*Good neighborhood, great ward.

Like I said, it's a killer deal. It will be available May 1st, or sooner if needed, as our current renters are hoping to get to their new job situation as soon as possible. We have MANY calls when we put it up on the web so it WON'T last long! Comment me with your email if you know anyone interested or would like any more info!

.:"Mister Mister, Get me outta here!":.

>> Friday, February 25, 2011

Dear "mister mister",

This week you turned  1 whole month old. I can't believe I've already had 4 weeks to play and be with you! I consider myself the luckist girl alive to be your mommy. I sometimes wonder what I could've done for you to choose me. Someday i hope you or I will look back and read this so you can see all the fun, cute, exciting things you've learned and accomplished so far. Here are some things we've experienced and learned together the past 4 weeks:
  • Somehow when you came home you got dubbed "mister mister". Your dad quoted Happy Gilmore one day as you were grunting not wanting to be in some jammies and it just stuck. Mommy L♥VES her mister mister!
  • You are the most relaxed and easy going baby. You have a personality a lot like your daddy. More often then not you're content to just cuddle with someone or sleep.
  • Going along with your content and relaxed personality you hardly EVER cry. I can count on one hand the times you've had a serious cry:  *The time you were born, *The time we took your newborns then invited your cousies to come see you and you were VERY overwhelmed, *The time your beanie fell around your eyes and you were SUPER angry you couldn't see everything.....
  • The reason you got so angry you couldn't see anything was because you absolutely LOVE looking around at anything and everything. I know you can't see everything yet, but you sure act like you can!
  • You have THE cutest smile {as half demonstrated in the picture above}! For the first couple weeks it was just poop smiles and little smirks when you would sneeze - it's almost like you think you've accomplished something AMAZING! Ha ha I love it. At around 3 weeks you actually started smiling at your daddy and me. I know everyone says that's too early, but I promise you are smiling because you recognize us. Both your Nanna's are amazed when they've seen it because they believe you recognize us too! Both also loved it when they got you to smile too (I've decided because I had to listen to my online math classes for my whole pregnancy you're going to be VERY advanced and genius like).
  • Just last week you found..... YOUR THUMB! Although i hate the idea of you sucking your thumb, it's quite possibly the cutest thing I've ever seen and I have the hardest time making you stop.
  • When you suck your binkie you make your daddy and I laugh hysterically. You suck it sooo hard it pops in and out of your mouth.
  • 99% of the time when you sleep, you sleep with your arms up by your head. 95% of the time they are on your face somehow.... Like such:

  • You love cuddling with your daddy. You're content to cuddle with your mommy, but when daddy cuddles you i can tell you sure LOVE it. You always turn into him.

  • When you were born you had this cute whispy strawberry blonde {where the red came from we have NO clue} hair. As of two days ago the top has fallen out and you look like the cutest old man with culdesac hair!

  • Everyday our routine so far goes something like this:

6:00 am - You start to coo, or grunt (this is what you do instead of crying when you're hungry or need a change)
6:30-9:00 - Daddy comes home and we take a nap with him to gear up for the day
9:00 - We head out to the living room to eat, change the dipes, and do mommy's homework
9:00 - 8:30 pm Mommy and you get to hang out. Naps, feedings, homework, etc. are what we like best!

Today you woke up with a little cough that scared Daddy and i to death. We got you right into the doctors. Gratefully you don't have anything serious, but we were put on extensive watch to make sure it doesn't get any worse. You've also been sentenced to be around a humidifier 24/7. I sure hope that's the worst of it!

Your Daddy and I love you SOOOOO sooooo much and can't imagine life without you! It's crazy we've only had you 4 weeks, but i honestly can't imagine having to live without you.
HAPPY 1 MONTH MISTER MISTER!

♥ Mommy & Daddy
